Blue Cat Design awarded Ontario Global Traders Award for leadership

New media firm Blue Cat Design was presented with an Ontario Global Traders Award for leadership in Ottawa today at the Ottawa Congress Centre. The Leadership Award is intended to recognize individuals who are known for championing the cause of exporting within their own industry and who have a proven track record in growing their business through exporting activities.
The Ontario Global Traders Award is Ontario's first ever award for recognition of outstanding exporting achievement for small and medium-sized enterprises. The awards were hosted by the Ontario International Trade Corporation and the Bank of Montreal, with judging panels made up of executives from leading Ontario companies and contributing sponsors which included the Chartered Accountants of Ontario, Canadian Airlines, Deloitte & Touche, Export Development Corporation, Profit magazine and Canadian Business magazine.
"It was a great honour to be chosen to receive a Leadership Award" says Christine Collie Rowland, CEO and Creative Director of Blue Cat Design. "We are proud to be part of this public-private sector initiative recognizing the important contribution exporters make to Ontario's economy."
Blue Cat Design, one of Canada's premier Web developers with an international corporate clientele, has been successful in exporting Internet services to American corporations and recently opened a sales office in Sydney, Australia to service its Australian clients. Seventy percent of Blue Cat Design's business is export sales outside of Canada.
Blue Cat Design's Canadian clients include Zurich Insurance, Jamieson Vitamins, Industry Canada, Minacs Group, MTD Canada, Cashway Building Centres, and Canadian Facts Ltd.. Among their American clients are: M&T Bank, First Asset Financial Corp., Georgeo's Collection, Mount Sinai Medical Center, The Cheese Store of Beverly Hills, and American Federal Recruiters.
