Canadian inn wins prestigious Web site award for excellence

The Victoria Inn at Gore's Landing on Rice Lake, Ontario has been awarded the prestigious "Canuck Site of the Day" award for Internet Web site excellence in technology and design.
Victoria Inn owner, Donna Cane, says: "Our Web site has been an enormous success. We've recouped all the design and development costs because of increased reservations. The Web site paid for itself within the first two months. We've had guests from as far away as Israel, England, France, and Broken Arrow, Oklahoma - they all found us on the Internet."
The distinctive Web site http://www.eagle.ca/VictoriaInn was developed by Blue Cat Design, a Toronto-area design firm that specializes in Web site design, online content publishing and Internet marketing.
"Blue Cat Design captured exactly what we are. Guests who have found us on the Net, and come to stay, remark that the inn is exactly what they expected," says inn owner, Donna Cane. "Blue Cat Design edited copy so that the search engines always bring our Web site up in the first five to ten entries on a keyword search. The site is the most important part of our marketing strategy."
